Now here's a story that's just a little bit on the odd side of life...
West Bengal, India is the home of the child born with a monkey-like
tail, who is now 35 years old. Chandre Oraon has lived an uneasy life as
hundreds flock to worship him because of his unique appendage that
measures 14 and a half inches long and is covered with hair.
His followers believe he is the incarnation of the Hindu god Hanuman who carries a similar monkey-like tail.
HIs wife, Maino was forced into marrying him by her brothers after her parents passed away. She said its "not easy being married to a God - he doesn't' look good"
Scientists say his tail is a birth defect, a form of spina bifida, but those who travel hundreds of miles to see him believe he can cure their sickness because of his blessing.
He loves to climb trees and has no intentions of having the odd appendage removed. He hopes one day to afford to build a temple to accommodate his followers.
