the presence of family and friends, cricketer Yuvraj Singh and actress
Hazel Keech tied the knot on Wednesday, November 30, in a traditional
Sikh marriage ceremony at the Fatehgarh Sahib gurudwara near
Chandigarh.
The wedding was an intimate affair with the near and dear ones coming down to bless the couple. Post the pheras, the newly-married couple was blessed by Braham Gyani Sant Ram Singh.
The groom - Yuvraj Singh blew us away as he donned a red sherwani with golden hues designed by JJ Valaya and a matching sehra for his big day. With a sword in his hand and the turban, the Punjabi lad chose to keep it traditional and regal.

Hazel gave girls new bride goals as she turned up looking stunning in a red JJ Valaya lehenga. Looking majestic in minimal makeup with a maang-tika and huge earrings, Hazel pulled off the bridal avatar to perfection replete with red chooda and kaleere.
Hazel reportedly changed her name to Gurubasant Kaur for the wedding ceremony as suggested by Yuvraj’s mother although its not compulsory to change name or religion for marriage in Sikhism.
Yuvraj Singh’s mother Shabnam was by her son’s side throughout the wedding to perform various rituals. The proud mom is known to dote on Hazel. Yuvraj Singh was brought up by his mom post the divorce of his parents Shabnam and Yograj Singh.
His father attended the mehendi and sangeet ceremony, but was conspicuous by his absence at the wedding.We wish the newlyweds a happy married life ahead
While Yuvraj was dressed in a black chooridar-achkan for the sangeet, Hazel complimented him in a black and white embroidered anarkali with a maatha patti. The two lovebirds interacted with the media post the mehendi ceremony and were a sight to watch as they walked back hand-in-hand to kick-start the sangeet ceremony.
Hazel wore a yellow anarkali with golden embroidery as she geared up for her bridal mehendi amid family and friends. On the other hand, Yuvraj donned a simple kurta-pajama with a pullover for the day
Yuvraj and Hazel will have a Hindu wedding ceremony in Goa on December 2, which will see several bigwigs and B-town celebs in attendance.
As mentioned in their ornately designed cards, the two will have an elaborate schedule of ceremonies which includes a grand reception in Delhi. While Yuvraj is a Punjabi, Hazel is the daughter of a British father and a Mauritian Hindu mother but with Indian roots
